The Doctrine of Jesus Christ
For this unit in the Teachings of the Book of Mormon we focused our studies on the doctrine of Jesus Christ. If I am honest I never really thought that there was a “doctrine of Jesus Christ.” I always thought that the doctrine we talk about all the time would be the “doctrine of Jesus Christ,” but I am grateful that I was given the chance to study this topic further. According to my studies the Four major doctrines are Faith, Repentance, Baptism and the Sacrament, and the Gift of the Holy Ghost and Enduring to the End. If that sounds familiar, great! I thought so too. I thought that these doctrines were things I had been taught as doctrines my whole life in the church. One great thing that came out of this unit is that this isn’t anything new or earthshattering to me; however, as I studied these topics and talked about them in class I became more aware of my testimony of these things.
